Dimitri's Christening ... Blue & Brown Polka Dots...

I'm so excited to finally be able to share with you all a lovely dessert table I put together for a gorgeous friend of mine's little boy's Christening.

Dimitri was born the day after my little Anabelle was born. I was suppose to have given birth at Hurstville Private hospital however due to a last minute emergency I was transfered to St George Hospital the night before my cesarean, ironically Dimitri's mum went into labour only hours after hearing the news that Anabelle was born. His mummy and I ended up being 1 room apart... and have become great friends since.

So when she asked me to create a dessert table for Dimitri's special day I was thrilled!
Its taken some time to get these photo's as they where professionally taken by INLIGHTEN but they where worth the wait!

The restaurant where the party was held had a beautiful wallpapered feature wall with browns & creams which was perfect as a backdrop so adding a touch of soft light blue was it needed.
I've also fallen in love with the BIG round Balloons I see so often in party's however underestimated just how BIG they actually are! (and how heavy!!!) But it defiantly look amazing as a feature of the table...

As this was my second attempt at a dessert table I wanted to really have a go at making as much of the desserts myself as possible and have to say I was quite pleased at how it all turned out... I'm becoming quite the little baker! =)

Anabelle's first Valentine's Day....

Happy Belated Valentine's Day.... Hope you all had a lovely day and got a little something extra special by your loved ones...even if it was a simple card or a single rose...

My little Anabelle had a very special Valentine's Day yesterday with her little friend Dimitri... it was a Valentine's day play date filled with rumbaling on top of each other, stealing each others dummies, toy sharing, yummy (& healthy) fingerfood lunch followed by some yummy watermelon for dessert... Dimitri even gave Anabelle her first flower with a special little note and a packet of Rice Ruskets :D

Happy Valentine's Day... :D

Hero's Vs. Villains - 30th Birthday Dessert Table

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of putting together a small & simply desserts / candy table for my step-brothers 30th Birthday.
He's always been a huge fan of superhero's so it was the perfect theme & perfect occasion to have a dress up party for his BIG 3.0.

Here are some pictures of the little desserts table I put together (in less than a week) for his special day...

Special Thanks to Roger & Steph for asking me to put together a sweet little table...

B is for Baby Shower!

I dont know if its because of the Law of Attraction but it currently feels like everyone around me has either had a baby recently or about to have a baby! Its a baby, baby year and I love it as it means more little friends for my Anabelle to play with when she's older! :)
And ofcourse the other great thing about having a baby is having a baby shower!
My beautiful (& glowing) cousin Priscilla is due in February and I was delighted to help her celebrate and to create a beautiful desserts table for all her guests to enjoy.

I was very excited as it was my first go at making bunting, tissue paper pom-poms, cupcake toppers & Tim -Tam cookie pops! (which where delicouse!!!)

Here are some photo's of the of all the lovely details...

New Year, New Me!

HAPPY 2011 Everybody!!! Each year I make the same resolutions...
  1. Lose Weight
  2. Work hard
  3. Make more money
  4. Travel to a new destination
  5. Lose Weight
Most years I've managed to accomplish at least 2 of the items on that list, unfortunatly items 1 & 5 are neither of them... :(

So this year as I think about what I want to achieve and what resolutions to make I feel like my resoluations wont just impact my life but also impact the life of my little one. Which means I really need to work hard to achieve these goals, dreams & wishes I have for 2011.
Starting with item 1!
Here are my 2011 resolutions...
  1. Lose Weight! -  Must lose 15kg to get back to my wedding day goal weight
  2. Buy a new house! - Seriously I had no idea how much space kids take up!
  3. Continue to build on this little blog of mine & hopfully have at least 100 followers by the end of the year :)
  4. Travel to a new destination - I'm thinking Fiji or Malaysia or back to Thailand....
  5. Continue to find balance between work, family & some me time...
  6. Learn to Meditate

What about you.... what's your New Year resolution?

Warm Hugs, Ana xoxo
